Collections of Lilies

Lilies

After several months' absence from my blog, I'm glad to welcome our new daughter to the family, and also happily announce my return to the land of the living. :-)

My favorite flowers are lilies. I love this time of year when they're all blooming, and one more fantastic than the next....

Operation: Love ReUnited

One of the greatest honors I'm allowed in my job is to be involved with Operation:Love ReUnited. We are an organization of photographers who volunteer to take family portraits with deployed and deploying soldiers and their families. The soldiers are then given a set of the prints to have with them during their deployment.

One soldier recently deployed to Afghanistan was allowed a few days leave to come home to Idaho for a visit before her deployment. I got to meet she and her family during her brief visit, and create some beautiful family portraits for them to share.

Sneak Peek: Baby Caleb

I recently took a little trip to Star, ID to meet Baby Caleb. He's three months old, and the most happy baby I've seen in quite some time, and had so much to say! Watch out when he learns actual words, Mom.... So - here's a sneak of a couple of my favorites of this beautiful little family:

Best Friends

I recently took fun portraits with best friends "A" and "S". Even though it was 102 degrees when we started the shoot, we had lots of fun, and had some fantastic results:

Little Baby "C" isn't so little anymore....

Little Baby "C" is growing so fast, as they are prone to do, I guess. Even though she's only two, her speech and vocabulary is amazingly advanced. Her Momma' must be so proud.

Beautiful Girls

A few more pictures of Nikki's daughter and a friend. I love the simplicity of kids playing in the park... what a great way to bring out the sincerity and beauty of childhood.

Mom and daughter... such a CUTE family!!

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Nikki of Nikki Rose Photography - and her beautiful daughter. They were in Boise for the weekend, and were able to squeeze in a few minutes at the park to create some beautiful little family portraits:

Clouds

The skies above Idaho have been beautiful lately. I find myself often with my camera pointed skyward....

Final Presentation

Following "S's" portrait session, I thought I'd show some examples of final presentations that I love for fresh, contemporary portraits like these. Whether framed with a bright metal molding or on canvas gallery-wrap style, these fun modern "memories" deserve a very special treatment.

Special "collage" presentations like these are available for all portrait sittings, and will be custom-designed to fit the subject and look amazing.

California, Nevada, Oregon....

The first in a potentially long line of images from a recent road trip around California, Nevada, and Oregon. More on the way, as they're finished. Proof that we live in a lovely, varied world. Enjoy!

Brave and Valiant Soldier

For Memorial Day this year, the city of Eagle, ID erected this temporary display. A field of flags, each with the name of a fallen soldier. What a beautiful and moving scene.
